Zonar just got back from Con-Expo, the largest tri-annual construction show in the country. More than 130,000 attendees descended on Las Vegas. Four full convention halls of specialized construction hardware and software suppliers. There were three parking lots of heavy duty equipment, from giant cranes to 45-ton aggregate haulers and one Tech Experience showcasing forward-thinking innovations. And Zonar was featured in the middle of it all.
Zonar’s patented, one-of-a-kind EVIR technology and next-generation Connect tablet presented through a new touchscreen experience rivaled the first 3D printed, working excavator; a geo-mapping, wearable backpack; high definition holographic construction sites and more innovations in the Tech Experience’s Jobsite pod. We were excited to share with those who know use an for the first time, many US- and international-based construction fleet managers, Zonar’s smart fleet technology. For a lot of those new to Zonar it represented very much of an “ah-ha” moment.
While showcasing top to bottom our smart fleet solutions, it was our legacy EVIR tech that continues to stand out out. Simple, but innovative, Zonar uses RFID tags placed in inspection zones around a vehicle to ensure operators are being made accountable for their pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Led step-by-step, operators conduct their inspections faster and yet, more thoroughly, than paper-based systems. Combined with telematics taken from the ECU, fleet and maintenance managers can streamline their daily operations and avoid unnecessary, unplanned downtime. And this translates to hard dollars any organization can’t argue with.
